Finally, a website for the entire Muslim family. As Muslims, we face many challenges trying to raise a family in the West. As
parents, we have juggle work and family life while still dealing everyday stresses. And Muslim children don’t have it any
easier. They must also deal with the negative influences of the media, peer pressure, and self-esteem. However, with the
help of Allah, we can overcome these issues and raise a strong Muslim family.

It all begins with our understanding of the Islamic religion.
Islam is the glue that holds the Muslim family together,
and Islam is vital to our success. In fact, Islam is a favor to
us from Allah, and it is our responsibility to take full
advantage of it and make sure we raise our Muslim
    families accordingly.

Allah states in His book: They impress on you as a favor
that they have embraced Islam. Say, “Count not your Islam
as a favor upon me: Nay, Allah has conferred a favor upon
you that he has guided you to the Faith if you be true and
    sincere.” Chapter 49:17

And in another part of the Quran Allah commands us: “O
you who believe! Save yourselves and your families from a
fire whose fuel is men and stones.” Chapter 66:6

When it comes to children, there’s much we can do to help them become good Muslims, Inshallah. Much of it starts before
they are even born. For instance, choosing a good Muslim baby name. Also making sure certain Islamic traditions are
followed after the child’s birth. And as they grow older, we should try to provide wholesome entertainment when it comes to
children’s books and television. And of course, we must provide a quality education for our Muslim family.

Perhaps your Muslim family can benefit from some of these Islamic topics:

Speaking of education, a child first begins to learn at home. While homeschooling is not for everyone, many families, Muslim
and otherwise, choose to go this route. All of our children are in homeschool, and we’ve been doing so for over eight years
now. The public education system just doesn’t provide what the Muslim family really needs. There are several tips and
suggestions we would like to share with anyone interested in starting up their own home school.

Here’s some homeschooling information we’ll be sharing with you.

  • Finding the best homeschool curriculum
  • Advice on books for your homeschool
  • Homeschooling resources
  • Teacher supplies
  • Textbooks
  • Homeschooling software
  • And much more.

How good are you with Islamic history? How many times have you heard someone say something derogatory about Islam or
the Prophet Muhammad? I bet a strong foundation in the history of Islam would make it much easier to correct these
misconceptions. There’s a popular saying, you can’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you came from.

Some of the history topics we found valuable to the Muslim family are:

Our hope is that you find these resources valuable and beneficial to your Muslim family. But we’re not going to stop here.
There’s much more to come and lots of information we’d like to share, from our Muslim family to yours.
